PMA engineers reviewing AccuSeries process measurements

ACCUSERIES APPLICATIONS

Online Water Analyser

Automate parameter-specific wet chemistry beside the process, with an analyser configured around your water, target range, measurement method and reporting needs.

Online analysis built around the water sample

Online water analyser can describe very different instruments. The right choice starts with the parameter to be measured, the concentration range, the sample matrix and the decision the result must support. AccuSeries brings laboratory-style colorimetry, titration or ion-selective electrode methods online where a suitable automated method is available.

PMA reviews the application before configuration. That review considers water source, expected and upset concentrations, temperature, colour, suspended solids, chemical interferences, sample pressure and flow, number of streams, analysis frequency and the outputs required by the control system.

Define the complete water-analysis duty

The analyser, sample system and method must be specified together. PMA will need to understand:

  • The target parameter, reporting form and required concentration range.
  • Normal water quality and credible upset or seasonal conditions.
  • Sample pressure, flow, temperature, colour and suspended solids.
  • Known interferences and any treatment chemicals already present.
  • Required analysis frequency, number of streams and control-system outputs.
  • The calibration, verification and maintenance responsibilities.

This application-led approach defines a maintainable measurement system rather than treating the analyser as an isolated instrument.

Where an online water analyser adds value

Treatment and compliance visibility

More frequent results can show changes between laboratory samples and help operators see whether treatment is stable. Applications can include drinking-water treatment, boiler and cooling water, wastewater, industrial effluent and process-water monitoring.

Online measurement supports process decisions; it does not replace statutory sampling, accredited laboratory analysis or an application-specific verification plan.

Process control and chemical optimisation

A configured analyser can provide measurements for dosing review, endpoint control, contamination detection or trend monitoring. The useful result is not simply a number: it is a result delivered at the frequency, location and quality needed for the operating decision.

Outputs can be integrated with plant systems according to the selected configuration, while local status and diagnostics remain available to operators.

Choose an analyser by parameter

Start with the chemistry you need to measure. Each parameter page outlines its measurement context before PMA confirms method, range and sample suitability.

Ammonia and Ammonium

Monitor ammonia or ammonium in drinking water, treated water and process streams using configured online chemistry.

Aluminium

Measure aluminium residuals in treated water, process water and industrial wastewater with automated wet chemistry.

Chlorine and Hypochlorite

Track chlorine or hypochlorite where disinfection, oxidation or chemical strength requires a frequent result.

Fluoride

Review fluoride measurement by ion-selective or colorimetric chemistry according to range and sample conditions.

Application boundaries

Method suitability depends on the target range, water matrix, representative sampling and known interferences.

Online measurement supports the operating decision. It does not replace statutory sampling, accredited laboratory work or application-specific verification.

What PMA needs to specify the application

A short, accurate application brief is more useful than a generic analyser specification. Send PMA the following information so the analytical method and installation can be reviewed together.

  • Target parameter and the form in which it must be reported.
  • Normal, minimum and maximum expected concentration.
  • Sample source, composition, temperature, pressure, flow and suspended solids.
  • Known treatment chemicals, interferences or cleaning requirements.
  • Number of sample streams and required analysis frequency.
  • Required local display, alarms, analogue outputs or digital communications.
  • Available installation space, utilities and sample-return or drain arrangements.

Specify the complete water-analysis duty with PMA

Share the water source, target parameter, normal and upset ranges, sample conditions and process objective. PMA can review method suitability, sample handling, analyser configuration, reagents, installation and support as one measurement system.
