Online Silica Analyser
Measure silica in boiler, steam-cycle and high-purity process water using automated colorimetric analysis.

Online Silica Analyser with AccuSeries
AccuSeries can automate silica measurement using a diammonium molybdate colorimetric method aligned with ASTM D859. A configured optical probe measures the blue colour response at 810 nm with a 450 nm reference, with a typical analysis time of about 17 minutes.
Silica monitoring is commonly considered for boiler water, steam-cycle and high-purity water duties. Confirm the expected range, sample composition, temperature, number of streams and required outputs with PMA before selection. Review the boiler-water and steam-system silica guide, the online colorimetric analyser and the wider boiler water analysis application page.
Programmable online silica analysis
The programmed sequence controls sampling, reagent addition, colour development, optical measurement and result calculation for the configured silica method. Method reagents and calibration standards are selected for the approved range and sample matrix.
01 / CONFIGURED METHOD
A method matched to silica and the process
The silica method uses diammonium molybdate colour development with tartaric acid and methyl aminophenol sulfate before the optical response is measured.
- Approved method for silica
- Configured range and sample matrix
- Method-specific silica result calculation
02 / AUTOMATIC OPERATION
Sampling, calibration and cleaning
Programmable routines support repeatable silica measurement while diagnostics and alarms alert users to changing analyser or process conditions.
- Automatic sampling
- Automatic calibration
- Automatic cleaning
A controlled silica measurement sequence
Each silica result follows a configured sampling, reagent, measurement, calculation and maintenance sequence.
01.
Capture the sample
The internal fast loop and sample mechanism provide a representative, consistent sample volume for silica analysis.
02.
Add method reagents
The programmed sequence adds diammonium molybdate, tartaric acid and methyl aminophenol sulfate in controlled volumes for the selected silica method.
03.
Run the configured method
The configured method develops a blue colour whose intensity is proportional to the silica concentration.
04.
Calculate the silica result
The optical probe measures at 810 nm with a 450 nm reference, and the analyser converts the response into the configured silica concentration result.
05.
Calibrate
Automatic calibration can run against configured silica standards at selected intervals.
06.
Clean
Automatic cleaning supports the silica measurement system between planned maintenance visits.
Designed for practical silica monitoring
The modular AccuSeries design keeps wet-chemistry components accessible while silica results, diagnostics and method controls remain available through the interface.
Touchscreen
Clear access to silica results, status and analyser functions.
Data logging
Integrated silica result storage with USB export.
Separate compartments
Electronic and wet-chemistry sections are physically separated.
Low reagent use
Small reagent volumes help control silica measurement costs.
