Online Acid Concentration Analyser
AccuSeries automates acid concentration measurement in industrial process streams using a configured wet-chemistry method. PMA reviews the acid chemistry, expected range, sample temperature and matrix, materials compatibility and control objective before the analyser is specified.

Online Acid Concentration Analyser with AccuSeries
AccuSeries can be configured for online acid concentration measurement in industrial water and process streams using application-specific titration methods. The selected chemistry, range and wetted materials are matched to acids such as hydrochloric, nitric, phosphoric and sulphuric acid, subject to a sample review. Read PMAโs independent acid concentration application guide for wider measurement context.
Every configuration is application-specific. Confirm the analyte, expected range, sample composition, temperature, suspended solids, number of streams and required outputs with PMA before selection. Explore the AccuSeries online wet chemistry analyser and its water and process applications.
Measure acid strength by titration
A pH reading and an acid concentration result answer different questions. AccuSeries can automate acid-base titration, using a measured sample and a standardised sodium hydroxide titrant to determine the configured acidity result. The acid identity, endpoint and reporting units must be agreed before calibration.
ACID-BASE TITRATION
Electrode or colour endpoint detection
Galvanic documents potentiometric titration using a pH electrode and colour titration using an optical probe with thymol blue. PMA selects the endpoint approach for the acid, concentration and sample matrix; a method for a single acid must not be assumed to distinguish every component of a mixed-acid stream.
- Define free acid, total titratable acidity or the named-acid concentration.
- Agree sample volume, any dilution and the titrant standardisation procedure.
- Confirm the endpoint and result units against the plant reference method.
02 / AUTOMATIC OPERATION
Sampling, calibration and cleaning
Programmable routines support repeatable acid concentration measurement while diagnostics and alarms alert users to changing analyser or process conditions.
- Automatic sampling
- Automatic calibration
- Automatic cleaning
A controlled acid concentration measurement sequence
Each result follows a configured sampling, titration, calculation and maintenance sequence matched to the acid application.
01.
Capture the sample
The internal fast loop and sample mechanism provide a representative, consistent acid sample volume for analysis.
02.
Add titrant and reagents
The programmed sequence doses the titrant and any method-specific reagents required for the selected acid measurement.
03.
Run the titration
The configured titration proceeds under controlled conditions to identify the measurement endpoint.
04.
Calculate acid concentration
The measured endpoint and titrant volume are converted into the configured acid concentration result.
05.
Calibrate
Automatic calibration can run against configured acid standards at selected intervals.
06.
Clean
Automatic post-wash routines help keep the acid measurement system ready between planned maintenance visits.
Designed for practical acid monitoring
The modular AccuSeries design keeps titration components accessible while acid concentration results, diagnostics and method controls remain available through the interface.
Touchscreen
Clear access to acid concentration results, status and analyser functions.
Data logging
Integrated result storage with USB export for review and reporting.
Separate compartments
Electronic and acid-handling sections are physically separated.
Low reagent use
Small titrant and reagent volumes help control consumable costs.
